Create visuals describing the status of KPIs
Hey, I am relatively new to PA and I am trying to include some visualizations in the dashboard on PAW providing some insights on the performance. I created a metrics cube and would like to display in the dashboard how many metric are green how many are red etc. Also I want to dynamically display the...

Re: Perspectives hang when performing a slice or snapshot to Excel
Does the user have any other excel add-ins loaded? If so try disabling them all and then testing again. I remember TM1 having issues with certain other add-ins previously but I can't really remember the exact issues experienced or which add-ins caused it. I've had a similar issue when CAFE or PAx w...

Re: Aggregation problem when linking cubes
I am trying to allocate the count to each raw material in the same proportion that it is used in products. Are these proportions (“recipes”) already defined in TM1 in another cube? (Answer has to be “yes” otherwise you cannot proceed.) You’ll need to reference the proportions there to move the data...

Re: Aggregation problem when linking cubes
Thank you Adam for the reply, I am trying to allocate the count to each raw material in the same proportion that it is used in products. For example if the products are hot beverages and the total order count is = 10 and these products are tea and coffee. Then I have 3 raw materials for simplicity t...

Re: Aggregation problem when linking cubes
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. Actually I am on PA2, but I am not using PAW as I thought it is meant for the analyst role not the modeling role, so I was using PM and Architect. From what I understand my choice now is between Architect/Perspectives and PAW/PAx. Which do you thin...

Re: Aggregation problem when linking cubes
I will try to expand on the problem. So the source cube has to following dimensions: time, user, product, and, consumption_measures:order_count. The target cube has the following dimensions: time, user, product, raw_materials (the raw materials that goes into each product), and consumption_measures:...

Aggregation problem when linking cubes
Hello everyone, I am still new to TM1 so there are some concepts I haven't quite grasped. I am trying to link two cubes together. The first cube has a measure element which I am trying to move to the second cube. Both cubes have the exact same dimensions except for one more dimension in the target c...

Omitted data when importing to cube
Hey everyone, I still new to TM1 and haven't yet gotten the hang of everything. I am trying to import transactional data from SQL Server into a cube; however, TM1 seems to drop transactions that have taken place on the same date by the same user. I am trying to measure the number of orders made from...

Re: TM1 Career
Thank you for your reply. It went a long way in untangling the confusion I had. I completely agree with you in that it is hard to make concrete plans. I just try to always have a plan, to have something I am working towards, and I adjust the plan as I go.

TM1 Career
Hello everyone, I just started work as a TM1 developer and I have some questions regarding the industry and career path. It is very difficult to find answers through google as TM1 is not very common, so I thought what better way to answer my questions than to communicate with TM1 experts. Before I s...
