Re: Anyone Know About TM1 Function RoundP
Can you be more specific about which version you are working with. Did you see my post of the other day? They have made changes in the latest release PA 2.0.9.16 (I am using IBM's PA release numbering rather than TM1 Server numbering)

2.0.9.16 and ROUNDP broken by fix
FYI to anyone moving to 2.0.9.16 and using ROUNDDP with negative parameters. We have just upgraded to 2.0.9.16 (Only to address vulnerability: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6856457) a few days ago and have found that our use of ROUNDP is no longer working. We are passing -2 and in cases whe...

PAfE version control @ server
Version 2.0.83. Has anyone managed to get this working. I might be missing something obvious but I am not receiving any messages in the ribbon. It doesn't seem to be doing anything. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=compatibility-configure-version-control-administrators Here...

Perspectives Active Form generating duplicate sections
We have just moved from 2.0.6 to 2.0.9.15 local. Win 2019, Office 365 On the server we are keeping Perspectives in order to use the Print Report function. There have been no changes to the report templates. When we use either the previous version from a laptop or the newer version (dated last year -...

Re: tm1 how to copy private view from one user to another user?
anyone know how to copy private view from one user to another user within tm1/PA? background : A User create a private view through tm1web , then he want to share this view with others. I don't know if this is feasible: use publishview function to transfer private view to public , then generate a V...

Re: Mirantis mandatory for PAW
Hello guys, when installing PAW for Windows Server 2016 or 2019 IBM tells me I have to install and use Mirantis Container Runtime ( https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=local-prerequisites ). So do I really have to pay for a Mirantis license when installing PAW in production u...

Re: Rules with virtual hierarchies
Have you looked at CellValueN? Probably the right function to use: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=functions-cellvaluen My favourite topic. I'm happy for someone to correct me here but this is my experience. The great thing about CellValueN is that you can omit dimensions...

Print Report function for PAfE
So I looked today and it seems the roadmap timeline for this has shifted out to the distant future. https://bigblue.aha.io/published/30f7b700d5eb7d18cfdd19c793f4a10d?page=4 I don't understand why this has been so hard for them, I can understand that at this point they may want to delay it until they...

Re: Product that creates loads of named ranges in Excel
From memory SAP Bex Analyzer (Old Excel add-in) creates many styles but I don't know about named ranges. It caused performance degradation and we had to write some standard code to clear them out for users on a regular basis.

Re: Migration from Perspectives to PAX
You are in luck John - I happened to create a script this morning to assist with some of this: Thanks, that's a clever thing. But I'm wondering though if we have a centralised copy of the whole directory which includes pre-configured files wouldn't we just copy the whole directory from a central lo...

Re: Migration from Perspectives to PAX
The other option is you set up the config on one machine adding all the connections and settings you need then take a copy of the office connection folder and push that to the other users machines. The Cognos\office connection folder contains all the settings used for PAX, and can be found here C:\...

Thanks for the answers 3) see this https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=suuic-set-up-unattended-installations-planning-analytics-microsoft-excel I think that may only relate to the original version which had t be installed rather than the single file version which can just be o...

Migration from Perspectives to PAX
I know this is not a new topic but here I am in 2023 migrating from Perspectives to PAX (2.0.81). We don't use VBA, we don't use custom rollups or subsets within DBR's. I'm really hoping that this will not be too painful. My interest is particularly in how well the following 2 things migrate/ work t...

Cognos 10 with latest PA
We are using Cognos BI only for authentication against 2.0.6 and it works fine. We are upgrading to 2.0.9.14. Any opinions on leaving Cognos BI alone and not upgrading to Cognos Analytics?

Re: PAW/PAX reports, need some advice
So from the Jan AMA session: DQR (They are considering renaming) timeline is that Q2 is optimistic, Q3 more likely. And they will be releasing the new hierarchy aware worksheet functions over time.

Re: PAW/PAX reports, need some advice
To add, you can have dimension MDX which refers to the contents of a cell in a cube. So this is a way of creating dynamic MDX in a PAW view - where one or more of the dimensions subsets is MDX based. But of course it depends on how complete the dimension MDX needs to be,

Re: PAW/PAX reports, need some advice
Also, worth mentioning that Dynamic Quick Reports are supposed to be released soon. This is much much, more flexible. Not sure on your timescales but this is supposed to be out in Q1, usual disclaimers apply. Don't stake your job / reputation on this.. Believe DQR will meet your report specificatio...
