Re: Configuring PAx on https

If the question is "has anyone configured PAX to use https", I can assure you the answer is yes. ;) If there is something you're having difficulty with and would like help, you would need to provide some more details about what you have tried, current environment, etc., as per Steve's comment below.

Re: Bug with HierarchyAttrPutS

Is the subset created with SubsetCreateByMDX a temporary subset or a permanent subset? Sounds like you're possibly running into an object locking issue (if the subset is permanent), which leads me to believe it is more of a technical limitation due to TI commits more so than a "bug". I agree it's fr...

Re: Tm1 pax DBRW() function

+1 to tomok. Never had a desire to do this, but could you not use the infamous ";;;" and apply that to the conditional formatting as well? That would effectively make everything blank in the cell, although it would technically still be there.

Re: Tm1 pax - IBM Cognos Office Automation outside VBA

What exactly are you struggling with for the wrapper creation? There is a very clear example listed in the IBM documentation you provided. If there's a specific question about the code I'd be happy to help, but from my standpoint that example was very clear.

Re: attributes in data tab

In simplistic terms, metadata is the "mapping/webbing" behind the scenes where objects and data structures are linked together. When you update an element by adding it to a dimension in the metadata tab, you are creating this linking of element to dimension. The data tab stores individual values in ...

Re: }ElementAttributes_ not updated with attributes

Could please you elaborate further with an example. Thanks For the cases that I have a rule involved, our aliases are concatenations of code and string. It makes for quicker updates (sometimes the business likes to update things from Excel), to just have a text field that they are modifying. You ca...

Re: }ElementAttributes_ not updated with attributes

Hi Bakkone, Can you share some sample code on how you are populating the alias attribute? If it's helpful I usually populate aliases by loading to a text attribute and then using a rule on the attributes cube to pull that text attribute into a separate alias attribute. That way it's only populating ...

Re: Deleting elements from dimension

Absolutely! In the Metadata tab use DimensionElementDelete to remove the element (obviously after you put your own condition on which to remove the element into the code). However, I don't usually like to remove history from the system unless it is truly a test case. If you have a "current invoice" ...

I'm sorry, but without any code and/or any explanations of what you have and haven't tried, all I can do is recommend the IBM documentation.

Re: [Postman] Unexpected token : yes but where ?!

You're missing part of your "ExecuteMDX" statement. Try something like "ExecuteMDX?$expand=Cells" and then post your MDX.

This link provides a good example using PostMan: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... st_api.pdf

Hi Kavitha, This is actually still possible, but the object has changed from "CognosOfficeAutomationObject" to "CognosOfficeAutomationExample". Please see page 197 of the following documentation: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cxr.2.0.0.doc/ug_cxr.pdf

Re: Mdx query on ElementAttributes cube

Hi Kavitha, This is untested and just a guess, but have you looked into possibly using the "TM1SubsetToSet" method? It allows you to specifically identify if you want the private or public subset (defaults to private if not specified). Hope it helps! https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS...

Re: Apply Different Tax Rates

Hi Jrock, What Mark is saying is to create a separate cube (probably simple with ~2 - 3 dimensions) that has a dimension which contains elements like "car, van, etc.". Then from there you can book the rates to each element. Once that is completed, you can assign an attribute to each element in the p...

Re: Tm1 rest api - Delete subset using $filter startswith()

Ahhh, I have never implemented that with a "delete" function on a subset. Interestingly enough I was able to find this post on one of the IBM forums: Hi, does the TM1 REST API allow DELETE operations with $filter on collections to delete all matching element, as specified in https://www.oasis-open.o...

Re: Tm1 rest api - Delete subset using $filter startswith()

Taken from the OData site:

Code: Select all

	https://services.odata.org/Northwind/Northwind.svc/Customers?$filter=startswith(CompanyName, 'Alfr') eq true
I have used this in the past and had success. Have you included your conditional check at the end of your call? (i.e. "eq true")
