Re: Dynamic Subset

Hi Wim,

in 10.1 I was getting an empty subset, but when I used StrtoMember or used the original mdx but without the name containing parentheses it returned the correct elements. I say was because I just tested it again and now it appears to be working!

I might be going mad!

Re: Dynamic Subset

I would say the problem is with the naming of the element, the parentheses in the name, i.e. ( Cat Sales Inc ) are causing the mdx to break. Can you try the following and see if it works: {TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( {TM1DRILLDOWNMEMBER( {StrToMember("[Account PCR].[DLR_REC_NACD2 DEALER RECEIVABLES - NACD (Ca...

Re: Is it possible to choose between subsets with IIF-statement in a MDX-subset?

Hi all, I thought I would hijack this thread rather than create a new New topic! I have a view which returns those cost centres where there is a difference between one version and another (in the same cube). The measure it looks at is a consolidated one. To allow for this I have some mdx against the...

Re: Making a Cascaded Filter(Filter depends on another filter) in TM1

I guess another possible option (depending on circumstances) would be to have one dimension for Department and areas where Department is the parent and Area is the child.

Then create a subset for each department.

cheers, Mark

Re: Consolidation advice

Hi Jim, the issue isn't around actually allocating the funding, this will be done via users manually updating combined with some processes. the issue is how to report off this date so how do the allocations look at a consolidated level, so questions like what is the funding split for Service area Z ...

Consolidation advice

Hi all, I have a requirement to provide how a budget is resourced/funded at cost centre, project, employee and job level. The fundings are for example, Revenue, Traded, Grant, Schools I have created a funding cube that holds the information at this level The problem I am struggling with is how to co...

Re: TM1 web active form speed issue

Hi Paul, thanks for the info. Will bear in mind. Your method of having Draft Budget and Curr Budget versions is similar to how we do it, except we have draft and current cubes rather than a version and use TI to transfer the data. This means we can simplify the rules in the draft cube, though it doe...

Re: TM1 web active form speed issue

Thanks for the replies. There are more dimensions in the actuals cube than the budget cube, but I think I will pull the data from budget to actuals because the actuals cube is more for reporting (with the occasional user updates) and the budget is for regular user updates, so I would prefer any extr...

TM1 web active form speed issue

Hi all, I have 2 cubes, one that holds staff budgets and one that holds staff actuals (they are in different cubes because of differing dimensionality for one thing) I have created an active form based on the actuals cube . Employees are in the rows. In the columns are the period actuals for pay and...

Re: Number of levels above an element

In a simple dimension I think you could get away with the following. By Simple, I mean set number of levels but the leaf itself could be the immediate child of any level of parent) Number of levels in dimension minus the level of the leafs immediate parent plus one (Worksheet code below) DNLEV(Dimen...

Re: Parameterized Data load issue

Glad you got it working. It should be noted that your process wasn't copying January values to every month but was copying the values in rows 5, 7 and 10 (so quantity for these rows is 5713). Why these rows? Because this is where your rows (For columns b:d) were unique. Cellputn doesn't sum up value...

Re: Parameterized Data load issue

Hi, The fact that the same value is getting populated to the other periods is what I would expect given you are doing a while loop over the data tab. This is the main reason I would use a while loop on the data tab. If we narrow this down to 2 rows, so rows 2 and 3 on your SalesPlan2 source file. An...

Re: TI: Process Options - Rebuild sheet

Hi,

I also have a number of processes which display messages to end users which are dependent on an updated value in a cube, so this would require some rewriting of the code!

I can only hope there is some kind of option to to switch to classic method in PA!

it's just that the information you were giving us was "fake news"
This seems slightly harsh given fake news is the deliberate attempt to fool the gullible/stupid.

If by size you mean bytes, I have a batch script to get the last modified date of a file, but it can be easily tweaked to get the file size, so the code below: wmic datafile where Name="Name of File Path\Name of file.csv" get FileSize >> "Put the output to this file.txt" I then use the "Put the outp...

Re: Date held as number but formatted as date

Hello Thurston,

To change the formatting I am simply right clicking the dimension, edit element attributes and changing the format to date, then choosing the first option in the list of available date formats.

cheers, Mark

Hi, Appreciate the feedback. I have read Alan Kirks summary of date and times and I *think* I understand the difference between Excel and TM1. Date held as number but formatted as date

Hi, I have created a timetable cube in TM1 and for the measure dimension which holds the date elements I have set these as simple. I then formatted them as b:dd mmmm yyyyD|0|Y If I slice this cube out to excel and enter the date 23 March 2018 it ends up in TM1 as serial number 43182 but still shows ...

Re: populating a string cell with a rule

Hi Brad, I didn't mean the order of the elements in the dimension. I meant the order of the statements in the rule itself. So I was asking if ['All sources']=If(['source1']<>0,['source1'],If(['source2']<>0,['source2'],If(['source3']<>0,['source3'], ...],0)))); came before or after 'All sources','Not...
