Re: Getting the last date of a month in TI

Yeah I like FormatDate and ParseDate, just wish I had known about them before now!

Are there any other functions like these that are lurking in a darkened corner or have I missed something in the documentation?

Re: MDX query using more than one cube.

I was thinking along the same lines as Okamasu, create a new cube using TI and populate, so Cube A is the source view with skip zero and you cellget the budget amount for each period from Cube B, then report off the new cube or No new cubes and on the websheet make the active form look at Cube A and...

Re: MDX based on actual element compared to cube value

Hi all, just noticed that babytiger has pretty much answered my question in this thread! See here http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14251 For example I used the following to return the years greater than the Current year in the admin cube and less than 2040 (I am still struggling to allow ...

Re: Apply Different Tax Rates

If these tax rates change frequently or you want to model over versions, over years and the tax rates could differ over time etc, then an alternative would be to add an attribute called type to the product dimension, so each element is either car, van, plane etc and hold the tax rates in a tax rate ...

Re: Replace hard coded rule values with cube value

Hi Jim,

Really appreciate the response, thanks.

There are already TI processes that re-compile the feeders via CubeProcessFeeders, so I think that issue is covered Also the servers are shut down and restarted once a week.

cheers, Mark

Replace hard coded rule values with cube value

Hi all, I have a task to make a model more dynamic, as there are literal values in some rules. For example how far the rules project into the future years is a literal value of 4. So an example of a current rule and feeder is as follows Rule: ['AppHrs'] = N: DB(If(Numbr(!Year) > DB('Admin_Cube', 'Ge...

Re: How to know last cube updated time in TM1

I wondered if there would be something simpler than this, but I would have followed Tom by doing a CubesaveData on the cube in question and then running a batch script within a TI process to get the last modified date, so a command like: wmic datafile where Name="FilePath\\FileName.cub" get LastModi...

Re: TM1RPTRow with MDX Expression that Returns zero elements

Hi, I feel your pain, if I had to update all my websheets and dimension builds due to a bug I would be annoyed! I have an upgrade from 10.1 to PA on the distant horizon and expecting issues like this! Re the workaround, you could call the Dummy element in the dimension something like No Data Availab...

Re: Error with MDX formula in Active Form

Hi,

glad it worked, though when you think about it it isn't that amazing because without the = sign excel would not treat it as a formula and instead treat it as a string value.

Re: Error with MDX formula in Active Form

Hi,

I presume the actual formula in cell B82 is not

{DRILLDOWNLEVEL({[student dimension].["&$B$65&"]}, ALL, RECURSIVE)}

But is actually

=“{DRILLDOWNLEVEL({[student dimension].["&$B$65&"]}, ALL, RECURSIVE)}”

Re: Dropdown list in Chrome for TM1 Web not responding

For what it is worth we don't use Chrome for TM1 (and some other systems) because certain functions don't appear to work in Chrome (don't exactly know which functions because that rule was in place before I started doing TM1!). I know that didn't exactly help but you are not on your own in experienc...

Re: SUMIF results in #ERR! on TM1 web

As you say it looks like a known fault.

Never used PAx but whenever I have used Sumif in TM1web I can only get it to provide a correct value if I reference the exact range, so A1:A5 and not columns, so A:A

Probably not going to help you in this case but that is my input!

Re: Journal validation - account combinations

Hi Steve, Yes I would tend to agree with you but in my original post I didn’t want to burden you all with the full story, in my case it is better to go with 3 concatenated dimensions instead of 1 because for the detail code dimension I basically need to hold the invalid combinations and not the vali...

Re: Journal validation - account combinations

Hi steve, The problem is that the actual table where the validations are held doesn't test against A, B, C and D but tests that A is valid against B or A is valid against C or A is valid against D. So in the TI odbc data source you would have 2 columns, one with elements from dimension A and the oth...

Journal validation - account combinations

Re: Dynamic Subset

Hi Wim,

in 10.1 I was getting an empty subset, but when I used StrtoMember or used the original mdx but without the name containing parentheses it returned the correct elements. I say was because I just tested it again and now it appears to be working!

I might be going mad!

Re: Dynamic Subset

I would say the problem is with the naming of the element, the parentheses in the name, i.e. ( Cat Sales Inc ) are causing the mdx to break. Can you try the following and see if it works: {TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( {TM1DRILLDOWNMEMBER( {StrToMember("[Account PCR].[DLR_REC_NACD2 DEALER RECEIVABLES - NACD (Ca...

Re: Is it possible to choose between subsets with IIF-statement in a MDX-subset?

Hi all, I thought I would hijack this thread rather than create a new New topic! I have a view which returns those cost centres where there is a difference between one version and another (in the same cube). The measure it looks at is a consolidated one. To allow for this I have some mdx against the...

Re: Making a Cascaded Filter(Filter depends on another filter) in TM1

I guess another possible option (depending on circumstances) would be to have one dimension for Department and areas where Department is the parent and Area is the child.

Then create a subset for each department.
