You do realize it was humor, right?

Re: TI: Process Options - Rebuild sheet

Hi,

I also have a number of processes which display messages to end users which are dependent on an updated value in a cube, so this would require some rewriting of the code!

I can only hope there is some kind of option to to switch to classic method in PA!

it's just that the information you were giving us was "fake news"
This seems slightly harsh given fake news is the deliberate attempt to fool the gullible/stupid.

Re: Cheking File Size

If by size you mean bytes, I have a batch script to get the last modified date of a file, but it can be easily tweaked to get the file size, so the code below: wmic datafile where Name="Name of File Path\Name of file.csv" get FileSize >> "Put the output to this file.txt" I then use the "Put the outp...

Re: Date held as number but formatted as date

Hello Thurston,

To change the formatting I am simply right clicking the dimension, edit element attributes and changing the format to date, then choosing the first option in the list of available date formats.

cheers, Mark

Re: Date held as number but formatted as date

Hi, Appreciate the feedback. I have read Alan Kirks summary of date and times and I *think* I understand the difference between Excel and TM1. What I couldn’t see in that summary or any of the comments was an explanation relating to my very specific issue, which I will restate. Lets forget excel for...

Date held as number but formatted as date

Hi, I have created a timetable cube in TM1 and for the measure dimension which holds the date elements I have set these as simple. I then formatted them as b:dd mmmm yyyyD|0|Y If I slice this cube out to excel and enter the date 23 March 2018 it ends up in TM1 as serial number 43182 but still shows ...

Re: populating a string cell with a rule

Hi Brad, I didn't mean the order of the elements in the dimension. I meant the order of the statements in the rule itself. So I was asking if ['All sources']=If(['source1']<>0,['source1'],If(['source2']<>0,['source2'],If(['source3']<>0,['source3'], ...],0)))); came before or after 'All sources','Not...

Re: populating a string cell with a rule

Hi Brad,

is this an order problem? Have you got ['All sources','Notes Source'] before ['All sources']?

MDX based on actual element compared to cube value

Hi all, Wondered if I had missed something fundamental and/or basic about mdx. I have a year dimension and the elements are 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 etc etc etc I have the current year held in an admin cube, so the value is currently 2017. I want to create some mdx that includes those year...

Re: TM1 Active Form is returning Zeros even when suppress zero is set to True/1. Please help

Hi,

Just want to know if when you open the active form in perspectives and if you do a alt-F9 to rebuild the sheet does it still show the zero values?

cheers, Mark

Re: TM1 Active Form is returning Zeros even when suppress zero is set to True/1. Please help

HI, Just as a further check have you tried dividing something by the value? If it returns a div error then at least you know for sure the value is zero. Also I presume you haven't manually changed the TM1RPTVIEW suppress zero parameter at all? If so did you rebuild the worksheet or just recalculate?...

Re: How to Use DBSW

Hi David, big thanks for that. I have updated my sheet to include the if statement in cell C4 and remove the if from the DBSW's as per your suggestion. When doing that it suddenly occurred to me that I didn't need an if(and statement, just an if to say if $T$4="Valid", because cell $T$4 will only be...

Hi, I just want to add my observations to this and to be honest looking for some reassurance! I would appreciate anyone who disagrees to please say so! I am currently setting up some journal templates for the web. The contents of the template will end up in a holding cube and then be sent into the m...

Web issue with functions and zero values

Hi, I am experiencing a few issues when trying to create a journal template on TM1Web, particularly around validating the data. This template will allow users to input into many rows and allows for multiple measures to be entered and multiple values. So validation of the values is required. This tem...

Re: Using Dates And Times In TM1

Hi Declan, Thanks for the response. Apologies if I am being dim. Do you mean create 2 numeric measures in tm1 and format these as dates? If so I am not holding the start and end dates in TM1 I am just using the start and end date to drive some logic in the TI process. So these dates only exist as st...

Re: Using Dates And Times In TM1

Hi, Just want to confirm something about dates in TM1. I have a TI process that includes a couple of parameters for start and end date. On the web the user inputs a start and end date. I was hoping I could use the DayNo function to test if the dates were valid and processquit if they weren’t. Howeve...

Re: Server Crash Due To Page File

Hi, I wasn't directly involved but seem to remember a server crash where the error said paging file was too small. I think the problem related to the fact that in one of the CFG files a server AdminHost was pointing to the live URL and not the test environment. Hope that at least rules out one possi...
