Re: ATTRS rules in }ElementAttribute cube causes a TI to load data slowly in 2.0.9.15
We are experiencing a similar issue after applying 2.0.9.15 meaning we can't load attributes into our control cubes with rule files attached. A TI process that took a few seconds now takes so long it doesn't finish after running for several hours. Looks like this has already been reported to IBM. Th...

Re: Custom number format in PAW View
After playing with PAW 2.0.59 (correction - not the latest version) a bit more I realised even if I change the TM1 database format to thousands, the view and visualisations would not update. My main motivation for doing this was to get the chart labels on axes and data points looking sensible rather...

Custom number format in PAW View
Hi All, I have a cube view opened in PAW (latest version) and need to display the numbers as thousands using the custom format functionality without changing the underlying TM1 database number format. In Excel I would use a number format such as #,##0,;(#,##0,); but ending the format string with a '...

Re: Automating TM1 in VBA
Hi Paul, Thanks, I reopened Wim's thread as had the same issue. Where I'm stuck is getting n_connect to work with the automation run under the service account without being logged in. You said: If you want to use Macros like N_Connect you will need to ensure that the TM1P.XLA is set to load in Excel...

Re: Automating TM1 in VBA
Thanks Wim. Just to confirm my understanding, you're saying there is no known reliable approach to full report automation from TM1?

Re: Automating TM1 in VBA
Hi Wim and All, I believe I'm having the same issue automating TM1 in VBA, did you ever find a solution to this or are there any other options for automating TM1 reports to run on a schedule without any human interaction? The approach we have so far is: 1) VBA that connects to TM1 as an admin accoun...

Re: ATTRPUTS much slower on Planning Analytics vs 10.2.2
After some further tests I found the way to get the TI process to run as fast as 10.2 was: 1) First reprocess the feeders - we had persistent feeders switched on and don't think the rules had been recompiled after initial upgrade 2) Change AttrPutS to CellPutS I had originally tried 2) first but it ...

Re: ATTRPUTS much slower on Planning Analytics vs 10.2.2
Yes there is a rule file attached to the attributes cube with feeders. The attribute being updated (attribute 1) is a string attribute that then feeds another string attribute (attribute 2). Attribute 2 is rule-calculated based on the value of attribute 1. I deleted the rule file, reran the process ...

ATTRPUTS much slower on Planning Analytics vs 10.2.2
All, We have a TI process that reads from a flat file, which contains the names of elements and an attribute value. On the data tab there is simply an ATTRPUTS to update the element attribute in the database. On 10.2.2 FP7 this took around 1 minute and on Planning Analytics Local 2.08 (using Archite...

Active Form showing wrong value
Dear experts, I have a general active form budget template with a field to enter a margin. The margin is then multiplied by a volume to generate an income figure. If the margin is say 3% and I type in 10% on top of the DBRW formula and then recalculate with shift f9 or f9 the margin changes back fro...

SaveDataAll Persistent Feeder Behaviour
TM1 experts, When running a SaveDataAll with persistent feeders switched on, we have noticed the .feeder files are always resaved with an updated timestamp. E.g. we run a SaveDataAll and the .feeder files are updated in the data directory. This may take 1 minute or so. As a test, 15 minutes later we...

}StatsByCube - Memory Used for Feeders = - Memory Used for Input Data?
All, In our }StatsByCube, the memory used for input data is negative for all cubes and very close to -1 * the memory used for feeders. This doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone else experienced this or can explain? I searched for old threads and found negative memory used for input data associated w...

Thanks Declan!
I had been using a dynamic subset and after following your advice it worked without any issues.
Best,
Oli

Unable to update attribute of large dimension
Hi, I have a dimension with around 320,000 elements (transaction references) and need to update a dimension attribute depending on whether the element contains a specific text string e.g. 'AB'. I have created a TI process with the dimension level 0 subset as the data source. On the data tab I have u...

Re: ExecuteCommand() argument working from cmd but not TM1
To update - I finally found the answer at the end of a similar thread here: http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=12402 . I created C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\desktop on the TM1 server and suddenly everything worked. Note that before that I had found the script was running but Excel ...

Re: ExecuteCommand() argument working from cmd but not TM1
Thanks both for your suggestions. I've just had a chance to look into this again, sorry for the late reply. Karthik - the following was the ASCIIOutput. Can you confirm the first and final double quotes are expected (I think they are when using ASCIIOutput)? "CScript "\\testTM1svr\tm1\Load...

ExecuteCommand() argument working from cmd but not TM1
Hi All, I am trying to use the ExecuteCommand() function in TI to run a VB script with parameters but I'm currently having trouble getting it to run. I have tried using both variables to construct the argument string and hardcoding an example for testing (see code below), neither of which worked. Th...
