Re: TI: Process Options - Rebuild sheet

Yes, I'm running the two versions in parallel on two servers, and it's a clear difference. This is an issue in my case as I want to display a dynamic success message. My process reads data from a DW, and I store # read transactions in a log cube. A DBRW will retrieve this information, which will the...

TI: Process Options - Rebuild sheet

Hi all

Noticed a change in when a success/failure message is shown, before or after the sheet is rebuilt. In 10.2.2 the message is shown after the sheet is rebuilt, in PA 2.0 (11.1.0.30) it's shown before.

Have you run into this, is it a bug/new feature?

Re: Empty rows in text file

Maybe not the most efficient way to do it, but this is the syntax I use. It inserts a '#' for each empty row in the source file, and stores the end result in a new text file.

@(For /F "Tokens=1*Delims=:" %%A In ('FindStr/N "^" %1 '
) Do @If "%%B"=="" (Echo #) Else Echo %%B)>%2

Empty rows in text file

I have a TI process that reads a text file (in this case a .rux file), and I'm using the following settings: Capture.PNG The preview indicates that there are empty rows in the text file: Capture2.PNG However, empty rows seems to be ignored when processing the file in the MetaData/Data tab. This is p...

CubeDataReservationAcquire

I'm working on a customized workflow for a customer, and for that purpose I use CubeDataReservationAcquire to take ownership. It works great in TM1 10.2.2, but I can't get it to work in Planning Analytics 2.0. A simple test that describes the issue: TM1 10.2.2 sUser = 'Donald'; sCube = 'Profit_and_L...

VB/VBA API

Hi all I have just started to explore the VB/VBA API, and I can see a huge potential for this type of functionality. Just wonder, is it worth the time and effort to learn this version of the API, or should I maybe go for the new REST API instead? How many of you are using the VB/VBA API, are there a...

Good point Jim! No, Swedish is not a requirement, TM1 is the universal language. ;)

Licensing

This is of course a question for IBM, but I’ve asked them, and no one seems to be able to give me a definitive answer. ...or I have just asked the wrong person. This is what I have done: I have created a VBA project that burst reports, i.e. generate different versions of a report for a combination o...

TI syntax

Hi all Not sure if it makes a difference, but I’m still curious. Is there a ’correct’ way to enter syntax in TI? A very common way seems to be like below. No paces, no/limited indentations, etc. If(DimIx(pDim,pEle)=0); DimensionElementInsert(pDim,'',pEle,pEleType); EndIf; Maybe it’s just me, but I h...

Re: ExecuteCommand(LaunchExcel.vbs)

tomok, the ideas was to launch an Excel spreadsheet that a client would have access to, but I think you and qml have pushed me in the right direction, it will probably not work. Thanks!

Re: ExecuteCommand(LaunchExcel.vbs)

qml, you are absolutely right, I had 10 instances of EXCEL.EXE running on the server. :D But, I’m doing all this logged on to the physical TM1 server as the same user that is running the TM1 service. I can now clearly see that an instance of EXCEL.EXE is started when running the process, but why can...

ExecuteCommand(LaunchExcel.vbs)

Hi gurus, here is a challenge for you. ;) I have spent days/weeks on this, read numerous posts, tried everything (?) you have suggested, but I still can't get it to work. Background: OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 TM1 version: 10.2.2 FP2 TM1 is running as a Windows service under the 'administrator' acco...
