Re: Occasionally stuck making ODBC connection
Hi, In my experience this usually happens because the destination server is locked performing some kind of major activity. The Netezza can handle quite some simultaneous load and we also experience it when the Netezza is idle. Also, the fact that WireShark does not show any traffic in the opposite ...

Re: Occasionally stuck making ODBC connection
Not sure if this gives some information, but I can try: I attached a screenshot of Wireshark during one of the occurances (Wireshark filtered on Source or Destination equals IP TM1 Server). As you can see there is only traffic in one way and it immediatly stops (while a succesfull ODBC connection wi...

Occasionally stuck making ODBC connection
Hi everyone We're struggling with the ODBC connection of TM1 (10.2) to our database (IBM Netezza N3001-002). Sometimes (but not very often) a process that opens an ODBC connection hangs. This happens both when using ODBC as source as well as doing it in code in the Prolog. Some details: - It doesn't...

SubNM changes subset
Hi (Excuses if this question is trivial or not well written, but I don't have lot of experience with Active Forms) I've got an Excel where the user can select an element from a dimension (only Level 0, no consolidations). With "Level 0" as a subset containing only the leafs, I get somethin...

Re: Get all SQL from TI processes
Thanks
I'll try that. As I'm looking at the pro-files it indeed seems to be in the 566 field. Thanks for mentioning to look at 562 first!

Get all SQL from TI processes
Hi We're preparing a migration of our Datawarehouse system which is the source of a lot of the data in TM1 (via SQL). To get an idea of how hard the migration will be we want to analyze all SQL to look for system-specific SQL-dialect and stuff like that. Now instead of looking through all processes ...

Re: ExecuteProcess works in parallel?
You're right, thanks. The problem was a matter of stuff running in parallel, but it wasn't ExecuteProcess() itself that was the problem. Some of these ExecuteProcess() commands run an ExecuteCommand() (i.e. running a *.bat-file) and others where trying to update the *.bat file while it was still pro...

ExecuteProcess works in parallel?
I've got a process that basically just calls a bunch of other processes using ExecuteProcess(). Some of these processes depend on a previous process being completed, so it's important that the next ExecuteProcess() only starts when the previous one is finished. This doesn't seem to be the case howev...

Re: Getting started with TM1 Web
Thanks for your suggestions guys. I started trying different things just because I can't seem to find a way to reach tm1web (well, at least I still can't get past the first screen): http://s23.postimg.org/6nyp7w5iz/Untitled.png As suggested by gtonkin I tried Ctrl+Shift+Refresh click, as well as dif...

Re: Getting started with TM1 Web
Please confirm which version of 10.2 Sorry, it's 10.2.2 to be precise. As suggested I leave the URL API for now and start with the basic TM1WEB. So I made a small website to test the login() function provided in the manual: <script type="text/javascript"> function login() { var xhr = new ...

Re: Getting started with TM1 Web
Thanks for your response What version of TM1 are you on and what browser are you using? 10.2 are you opening the browser from the same machine that web and the admin host are installed? Yes, I started with testing it on the same machine. Also log in to the service through architect and check that th...

Getting started with TM1 Web
Hi everyone I'm interested in building TM1 Web applications. Currently all our 'users' use Perspectives, but we might be able to provide them with a better user experience if we would build some apps of our own. Based on the help-files I only came so far as to check if the web server is actually run...

Re: Copy from multiple views in one process
What is process name. It looks like this: Create views... (here called cViewA and cViewB) . . . ExecuteProcess('Bedrock.Cube.Data.Copy', 'pCube', cCube, 'pViewSource', cViewA, 'pDimension', 'Version', 'pSourceElement', 'Actuals', 'pTargetElement', 'Forecast'); ExecuteProcess('Bedrock.Cube.Data.Copy...

Re: Copy from multiple views in one process
Thanks for the inspiration.
I solved it calling a bedrock process twice (once for each view), and that seems to work fine.

Copy from multiple views in one process
I've got a TI process that creates two views. The data of those views is then copied to a target cube. However, in the "Data Source" tab, selecting "IBM Cognos TM1 Cube View" as Datasource Type, I can only choose one View. So I was thinking, is there a possibility to do something...

Re: Best practice for versioning
Thank you guys, this is very interesting!
@qml: We already do practice code-driven setup for a large part, so it would be possible to make everything with that approach. After that I guess you'll only need to keep track of changes in *.PRO (Processes) and *.RUX (Rules) files, right?

Best practice for versioning
Hi I'm looking for some good practices on project versioning in TM1. I really want to avoid ending up with objects like "cube.somestuff.version7.revised.january.bis" (ok, I'm slightly exaggerating the issue, but I think you'll get the point). I have no exotic requirements, not even change ...

I did try with servername and IP instead of localhost, both from other pc as well as via remote desktop, but still the same result. Given that the 404 is specific I assume connection is not the problem, but the web service of Pulse is. Anyway I'll have a someone from Cubewise looking into it later t...
