Worksheet functions with CAFE
Hi,
CAFE has an add-in which enables basic worksheet functions. It should not be activated in parallel with Perspectives.
But my question is that does a same function under CAFE have a better performance than when it is under Perspectives ?
Cheers

Re: Hold consolidation via TI
Hello, You can grant 'READ' access to consolidation in }ElementSecurity cube (or using Right click on dimension, Security). Also, you can use ElementSecurityPut TI function. Thanks Elessar for your suggestion, it means that if I have a TI to populate the consolidation, the process have to change th...

Yes, they should not be changed by BU, while all leaf members can be changed.Wim Gielis wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 3:29 pm Do you need to maintain the values at the consolidated level because you are talking about a hold functionality ?

Hold consolidation via TI
Hi, We have a requirement that we need to populate a consolidation and make it uneditable, however users should have the write access on its child members. I think of Hold functionality in Perspectives or in CAFE, but is it possible to meet the requirement via TI on the back-end ? I'm not very famil...

TM1 server instance access right management
Hi, We have a list of TM1 server instances on the same TM1 server, that means BU has to choose theirs every time they want to connect to the system of their own. Is it possible to customize this list according to the access right of every BU ? It seems that when SSO is configured and CAM is used, th...

Re: CAFE & Excel 2013
Hello, We experienced this. Do you happen to be using other add-ins in Excel. When examining the dump logs, we found these older (non-supported) add-ins were the root cause. For some reason, CAFE didn't work nicely with them. You may want to try examining the dump logging, or asking your help desk ...

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can I copy a worksheet to another workbo
I would suggest using 1 or the other as I haven't had CAFE + Perspectives play nice together. From my observations, you need to "Move or Copy..." the sheet you want. That has kept the bits & pieces that you need on the new workbook... Thanks RJ! for your reply. We are now using CAFE 1...

CAFE & Excel 2013
Hello, Since we upgraded Excel to 2013, it seems that the performance is not as good as before, especially when we active our CAFE tab 10.2.2 FP6 When I tried to switch between Excel files, CAFE being active, I can see the mouse pointer in busy status for some time. This doesn't happen when CAFE is ...

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can the toolbar under the ribbon disappear ?
Hello, I was curious if you ever discovered what caused this error - the unexpected disappearance of flex views, or rather, unexpected conversion of flex views to static? I have searched high and low for someone who seems to have documented and resolved an issue like this - this seems the closest t...

[10.2.2] Excel crashed before Print
Hi, We have several users who have encountered an Excel crash problem. The program crashed once user clicked CTRL+P or tried to print via the File tab, but it was not always the case for all documents. If we removed all Enterprise Printers in the Control Panel, the crash didn’t happen again. Cheers ...

[10.2.2] CAFE logging
Hi, Is there some specific logging tool for CAFE or for PMhub ? We were trying to find out the average refresh or commit time elapsed per action. CAFE logging itself ? [10.2.2] "TOTAL" CAFE FP6 issue
Hi all, We discovered an issue after our CAFE was upgraded from FP2 to FP6. A report has a dummy line which has 2 dimensions, entity and product. Empty and "TOTAL" are two values in this line. With FP2, we didn't have any problem, however with FP6, we got a refresh error. The debugging pro...

Re: CAFE: Cognos Analysis for Excel Error
The provisioner does nothing to the pmhub. It only works on the planning service. pmpsvc. Whatever you did, you had already done it. It might have updated your java environment, but that would be it. It is written for JRE 1.6 & 1.7 Finally we still have one server which can not be updated prope...

It should be "Install Location" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Cognos -> <Your previous uninstalled TM1 version> -> InstallStream
But why it was kind of locked

Re: CAFE: Cognos Analysis for Excel Error
After the SSL updater for the Provisioning Agent was applied, the issue was solved, CAFE could finally reach TM1 servers. I thought this updater was not mandatory, SSL for PM could be updated on Client, and it had nothing to do with CAFE, but it turned out to be wrong  Notice that I tried also...
