Re: Prop. Spread on calculated C-Element
Did you find a solution as I'm facing the same problem? I assume, that this "inverse spreading" is only possible for simple functions, such as: Sales = Units * Price, ( A = B * C) you can insert sales, price is kept stable an the system does the spread to units. In your case, as A = (B - C...

Get Data from PowerBI
Hi there,
is there a possibility to get data out of power bi to TM1?
e.g. via Python?
I just found something for the other way round: TM1 to Power BI
Regards
Mark

PAW: Transaction log and Errorlogs
Hi there, I did not find a possibility in PAW, to view TM1Errorlogs and TM1-Transaction-log. Is there a possibility, comparable to Perspectives? in our company, TM1 Perspectives will be uninstalled by end of the year and users that do not access to the logging-directory still need to see Errorlogs o...

Re: Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN
Thanks for the good idea! I did not think about "lock" (or "reserve") - but I checked the security: Members of ADMIN-Group do automatically always have ADMIN-rights to all Dimensions and Elements and this cannot be changed. Setting to LOCK will also stop admins from changing the...

Re: Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN
Many, many thanks for your ideas! and many thanks for the speed you wrote back! The easiest way will be a second user for the Administrator. I'll discuss the solution with the planning department.

Re: Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN
You can lock an element by going into the subset editor (legacy subset editor) and right clicking on an element and select security>lock. This will prevent admins from writing to the element but it would apply to all cubes. Thanks for the good idea! I did not think about "lock" (or "...

Re: Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN
Hi Mark, We had a similar issue and we decided to use the }Capabilities cube. Not sure if it will work for Admin https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=configuration-capability-assignments Take a look at Allow Spreading . Also, not sure what you mean by "Web-application&quo...

Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN
Hi there, I'm facing the following problem: in my Web-application, Users enter planning data for the total year (C-Element) and TM1 spreads them automatically to the 12 months below (the months are already populated before, so the system does a proportional spread) - that works fine. During the plan...

Re: Migrate ActiveForm from Perspectives to PAfE / PAX
Thanks for your help! the good news was that there is no big issue I should focus. So I went through all TM1RPTRow-Formulas on the sheet (I have 5 of them). four of the TM1RPTROW-Formulas included everything: A link to a subset (the cell is empty), a link to an element (the cell is empty) and a link...

Re: Migrate ActiveForm from Perspectives to PAfE / PAX
Hi Mark, In what manner doesn't it work? Do you have back and forth to TM1 whilst determining references (i.e. things link Dimnm, DImix, DBS, etc etc)? Cheers, Hi Steve, "it does not work" means: no lines in the ActiveForm are generated, and the first line keeps empty. my report consists ...

Migrate ActiveForm from Perspectives to PAfE / PAX
Hi there, I tried an existing Report with ActiveForm (created with Perspectives and working great with Perspectives) in PAX, but in PAX / PAfE, it doesn't work. What I tried right now: The ranges in PAfE are differently named than in Perspectives: TM1RPTFMTIDCOL, PAX: TM1RPTFMTIDCOL 1 - I did it The...

Does PAX/PAfE Action Button work in Perspectives?
Hi there, sorry to ask, but I'm just trying out PAX / PAfE and migrated an existing Report to PAX, meaning that I ran the Utility to change the action buttons. I saved the file locally and opened it again in Excel/Perspectives (closed Excel/PAX before) I notice, that the Pax Action Buttons does not ...

Re: Disable Change of Rules
Could you get them to save the view as private and give them access to a TI to PublishView? IMO, this is the answer. We do this for a select group of users that we don't want to make admins but they are responsible for creating reports and views for others in their departments. Works fine. Thanks t...

Sorry, does not work,
someone who is Security-Admin can spend himself ADMIN-rights to cubes, so he can change rules again, can't he?

Re: Disable Change of Rules
Good Idea, Thanks!
I'll have a look at it, as additionally, the users need to change Cube-Data, too, but I think, I con do this bei additional groups with "Write" lincence to the needed cubes.

Disable Change of Rules
Hi there,
in my model, special users have ADMIN-rights to cubes, because they need to be able to save public views.
It works wonderful.
the disadvantage: these users are also able to access and change the cube-rule.
is it possible, to disable the right to change the rule?
Thanks in Advange!

Best Practice for Active Form with dynamic columns?
Hi there, I'd like to built an active form in which not only the rows are dynamic, but also the columns. Some time ago I built something like this by inserting a second active form in a hidden sheet that generated a list of rows that I transferred (via Index) in the column-headers in the main sheet....
