Hi erinbg,
Thank you for your kind reply.
It is indeed a very good point and I will keep an eye on it. However in my case the problem was rectified when we migrated from TM1 (cognos express) to Tm1 Enterprise 10.2 FP3.
Once again thank you for sharing the info

Re: Calculated Zero Cells and Feeders
Hi everyone, I came across with this post as I am having exactly the same problem as Nicola. I am not sure if I misread all your previous replies but I don't think the issue of having the respective columns and/or rows disappearing when zero suppression is activated in a cube view was actually answe...

Re: Control Cube Maximum Number of Dimensions
Hi Alan,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
You are right, a 3 dimensional cube was left over from a previous creation (an old prototype).
We have deleted this from the data directory and restarted the service and the cube is now created successfully.
Once again thank you for your kind reply

Control Cube Maximum Number of Dimensions
Hi All, We have a couple of custom built control cubes ( "}Cube" ) in our model which we create using TI, so far all cubes have from 2 to 3 dimensions and all works fine. However, we have come across with something unusual or we may not be aware of this; We tried to create a control cube w...

Re: Disable TM1 to auto load in Excel
Thank all for your replies, we have changed the link to a direct shortcut to tm1p.xla so users can launch Perspectives.
I still don't understand what was the cause of this issue but what matter the most is that it works now.
Thank you so much for your help

Re: Disable TM1 to auto load in Excel
Thank you Declan for your reply. Just like Alan, I'm also struck by the fact that this has happened on all machines at once and after a server start. According to one of the guys at our IT team (I'm in finance by the way) they haven't changed anything at all, I will investigate further thought.. Are...

Re: Disable TM1 to auto load in Excel
Hi Alan, Thank you so much for your kind and detailed reply. I have previously check the DDE option in excel and it is Unchecked, so have now gone to the Default Programs in windows 7 and the .xla file type is still associated to MS excel. The properties in the Xcelerator Client shortcut Capture.JPG...

Re: Disable TM1 to auto load in Excel
Hi All, This is actually the case for me. We had a server restart and after that not a single user can start Perspectives from the desktop icon or not even going to the windows start menu, All Programs--> IBM Cognos Express --> Xcelerator Client. It simply doesn't do anything at all, however if I st...

Re: Flag for rule based elements
Interesting to know that I wasn't the only one creating C: 0 rule at the top of a rule file for similar groupings lotsaram has mentioned.
Thank you both for your ideas & comments.

Re: Flag for rule based elements
Thank you lotsaram/rmackenzie for your kind replies. I am fully aware that rules apply to cells and not to elements not to mention what a rule that applies in one cube is not necessary applicable in another cube despite using the same dimension. I have to admit it is a rather unusual requirement, ho...

Flag for rule based elements
Hi all,
I'm unsure on whether the is TI function or any other way to identify/flag which elements are rule based.
I know I could create an attribute an flag those elements, however in a relatively large measure dimension, Is there a way to automate this/populate the attribute via a TI?
Cheers

Cognos Express Connection Failure
Hi all, I'm not sure if this has happened to any of you in the past but this is the first time I encounter this type of issue :? . The Cognos Express (10.2) server is not working properly anymore, it suddenly stoped. If I check services for IBM Cognos in windows services, they are all active and run...

Multiple Active Directories in CX 10.2
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if any of you are using more than 1 active directory to authenticate user credentials, if that is the case What are the steps to follow and How is the Congnos Configuration set up?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated

MDX Filter based on a different dimension attr
Hi all, I am unsure if what I am trying to do here is actually possible or if anyone has come across a similar requirement. I have 2 different dims 1-Account and 2-Statistic Measure. The idea is to have a single attribute (in the account dimension) which in this case is called "ST PL_R12" ...
