Re: PAW Time Series Line Chart with Separate Year and Month Dimensions
Quick update on this. I created an RFE with IBM for this (create time series chart with two dimensions) and it has been tagged by them as Planned! Good news.

Re: What would you do: creating year, month, day dimension separately in the cube or create them in one dimension
If you are just starting out, it would seem a single dimension with hierarchies for the days, months, quarters and years would be the way to go. We currently have Month and Year dimensions and are now running into issues with PAW, whereby we cannot create a fairly rudimentary time series line chart....

Re: PAW Time Series Line Chart with Separate Year and Month Dimensions
The prospect of having to rebuild all the cubes with year and month dimensions in them.
However, to really start taking advantage of these hierarchies, a major rebuild seems inevitable one way or another.

Re: PAW Time Series Line Chart with Separate Year and Month Dimensions
Thanks for reply. 1. Yeah, a second cube is looking like the only option at the moment. Seems a lot of extra trouble for something reasonably straight forward though! 2. PAW was supposed to be our new visualisation too. Not sure i want to bring PowerBI into this. Also, purpose of the sheet is for an...

PAW Time Series Line Chart with Separate Year and Month Dimensions
Hi, Struggling to get a single time series line chart in Workspace with our cubes having separate Year and Month dimensions. Just end up with multiple lines for each year or each month. Is this not possible with two dimensions?! Can't find anything related online and no matter how i orientate the un...

Re: Application.Run("DBRW"...) RECALC_0_3 in Worksheet_Change
I did try disabling events, which I think I saw in an earlier post on the forum on a related issue, but it didn't help either.
I'll continue to play with it and see if I can get a better solution though.

Re: Application.Run("DBRW"...) RECALC_0_3 in Worksheet_Change
Apologies, should have said, i tried DBR and it was the same result. Tried DBRA as well and also the same. However, seem to have stumbled across a workaround. I noticed if i wrote anything to any cell on the sheet within the VBA prior to doing the Application.Run then it worked. Then found out a bas...

Application.Run("DBRW"...) RECALC_0_3 in Worksheet_Change
If I call the below Sub BuildModel directly then the Application.Run("DBRW") returns the value perfectly. However, if it gets called from the Worksheet_Change event I get a RECALC_0_3 error. The Brand is getting passed fine; I've tried hard coding it and its the same result. I've tried App...

Re: New Execute TI from VBA method but no Success/Fail?
Bumping this. I'm now writing the ProcessReturn code to an attribute at the end of the Epilog. Now I know if the process ran successfully or not and can pull this out in the VBA. However, the problem I now have is that when I use the new ExecuteFunction API call from VBA to execute the TI it doesn't...

New Execute TI from VBA method but no Success/Fail?
In PAx is there no way to at least determine whether the TI process you've run from the new ExecuteFunction method in VBA has at least succeeded or failed? I know we can still use ActionButtons and add this as an option, but I was hoping to move away from these. However, to do that I need to at leas...

Re: Workspace - Synchronize Selection Widgets
Bump this.
How about linking the selection from one dimension to an MDX in another?!
I know I'm not going to be able to replicate everything from my old Perspectives worksheets in PAW, but some kind of workaround for linking selections between two different dimensions would be very useful.

Re: Best Azure VM Type for Planning Analytics
Thanks for these insights. Reassuring that IBM at least acknowledges that people might want to stick it in Azure. I'll look more into the licensing, but on a recent call i had with IBM about the overall upgrade from 10.2 to Planning Analytics I did mention that we would move to Azure at the same tim...

Re: Best Azure VM Type for Planning Analytics
Hi Ed, Thanks for this. Multi-Threaded Feeding is not something i had looked at yet! Will definitely look into it now. Yes, we have a fairly clear idea of the current memory and processor usage, at least in broad strokes, but i was unsure how this would be reflected in the different types of VM setu...

Re: Best Azure VM Type for Planning Analytics
We are on a Cognos Express license and so I don't think need to worry about the PVUs. Although i've just seen there might be a limit of 1600, but that sounds a lot and so i don't think we need to worry about it. Does that sound right?

Best Azure VM Type for Planning Analytics
Hi, We are looking to upgrade our TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analytics, both PAX and PAW. We use Perspectives across Citrix and typically use Excel interfaces to admin data and run TI processes. Some cube work is done, but it is limited due to the fact there is no charting in it; looking forward to PAW ...

Re: Execute Powershell Script from TI
Finally found the solution. Turns out the script was in fact running, but the Excel object that was being referenced was doing nothing. If logged in with the same account that TM1 uses it worked, but Excel knows if someone is actually logged in or if the object is being called from a task or, in thi...

Re: Execute Powershell Script from TI
Hi RJ! I think this might be it, although my boffins are struggling to find where this control might be. It seems we can get these scripts to run anywhere except when called from a TI process. Even when we log in with the same ID that TM1 uses it works, just not when TM1 uses it on its own. Will upd...

Re: Execute Powershell Script from TI
Hi Art83, Thanks for this. Though I don't think it will solve my problem, I think setting the command to not wait with the 0 parameter is probably a good idea, as I have found myself with a few stuck processes while trying solve this which I have not been able to kill via TM1 Top. Thanks for at leas...

Execute Powershell Script from TI
Try as i might, i cannot get my powershell script to execute from a TI. The TM1 service runs under a CognosAdmin user account (if that is the correct way to describe it) and when logging into the TM1 server directly with this account and running the script it works fine. The problem appears to just ...

Re: Excel Settings overriden by tm1p.xla
Thanks, lotsaram. The manual calculation i understand and we have that set to manual as standard. The multi-threaded calculation i was unsure about and i realised there might be some issues with the flow of data. We have just transitioned from CX 10.2.1 on Excel 32 bit 2010 to CX 10.2.2 on Excel 64 ...
