Re: Created a dynamic subset. It works in TM1, not in DBRW!

Also keep in mind when you are using a dynamic subset in excel/websheet that you will need to have the dynamic subset calculate before the DBRW does. I received a Key*Error when creating a websheet in perspectives and the solution was the dynamic subset dimension needed to be represented as a DBR. D...

If i comment out the last two lines which are assigning subsets to the rows of this view results come back with no error. If I remove the commen...

Re: Input Entry Long Wait Time

Perfect! This really helps me narrow down my issue. I have copied my feeders from the rules editor below. PAY NON COM and PAY COM are consolidate elements in my account dimension that have about 15-20 elements each in them. I am feeding the consecutive years in the salary input view so they can popu...

Input Entry Long Wait Time

Using TM1 10.2 with Excel 2010. I am building a new salary cube in TM1 10.2. I enter my information for Name, Class, Title, Status, Start Month, Review Month and GL Account. Everything works just great. Then when I enter PY Starting Salary and hit tab or enter my screen takes between 60-90 seconds t...

TI Change Weight Of Top Level In Hierarchy

I am working in 10.2 Architect trying to create a TI process to update my account dimension. The current structure has Assets, Liabilities, and Net Profit rolling up to the top level of the hierarchy Total. My users have requested an alternative hierarchy that only includes balance sheet activity. S...

Re: Missing Element For AttrPutS

I could be going about this the wrong way. So my initial thought was that I could build one process the create the dimension. Here is the code I wanted to use. #Add Level Four Length=LONG(TRIM(RSLEVELCODE)); If(Length=2); DimensionElementInsert('CostCenter','',TRIM(RSCOSTCENTER)|'-'|TRIM(RSCOMPANY),...

Re: Missing Element For AttrPutS

Thanks Jim!

I moved the code to attribute code to the data tab. The unfortuanate part is it appears I would need one process for each level the the cost center dimension. Is their anyway around that? Its not a big deal was just looking to have less processes to run. Thank again!

Ownership at Consolidated Level Cannot Commit at 0-Level

Win 7 64 bit Excel 2010 I have attached a document that outlines step by step the issue I am having. The short of it is that I appear to be having issues with the commit button when preforming that same task two different ways. I might need to log a bug with IBM just wanted to check the forum to see...

Re: Initiatives Cube with Spread Method Calculation

I agree this is a complicated way. As far as the percentage split is concerned. How would that work for a 4-4-5 split if the user can ideantify Start and End Month. The denominator is a moving target. For Example: If Nov has 4 weeks, Dec had 4 weeks, Jan has 5 weeks and Feb has 4 weeks and so on. If...

Initiatives Cube with Spread Method Calculation

Currently on Win XP, TM1 10.1, and Excel 2007 I am constructing an Initiatives Cube for a forecast model that is in development. As you can see from the print screen the manual spread method works just fine. It takes the Amount Change for Period Input divided by the (End Month minus the Start Month)...

Using Win 7 on the new TM1 10.2 I started playing with the new 10.2 today and tried to import my old approval hierarchy via performance modeler from 10.1.1 in 10.2. I received the following error "The approval hierarchy has members missing below the top level member." when attempting to va...

Re: Combined Dimensions

Good point. We tested a customer change in our dev environment and it appeared to work just fine. If a customer changed territories the data loaded in the new month created a new "TerritoryCustomer" field which is what I would expect. Thanks for the input.

Re: Combined Dimensions

We recently completed a cube re-design on this cube. We combined the Territory and Customer dimensions which had 33,714 elements and 377,634 elements into one TerritoryCustomer dimension with 570,642 elements. This significantly reduced the load time of the cube from about 30 seconds to about 17-18 ...

Re: Cognos BI or Microstrategy over TM1

I have used Cognos BI in the past and really like the product. We have been on Microstrategies 7 for ...
