Re: [10.2.2] Application Server terminated unexpectedly

We have had this happen today three times as well. Same message. Did you ever get an answer or cause to this problem?

Re: PMR68125 999 866: TM1 952 TI CubeView Incorrect Order

Apologies for resurrecting an old post but does anyone know if this issue was fixed for 10.1.1? I have loads of processes that create and delete views on the fly and want to be certain that if I reorder any cubes it won't have a negative impact anywhere. cheers, Mark Mark, we are on 10.2.2, do the ...

Re: MDX using TI Parameters

using a MDX statement, it is possible to create a subset by filtering the values of a cube. However, it is necessary to explicitly name the dimensions and elements of the cube. In my case, the [Period] and [Config_Measure].[Source] are constants in the MDX statement below. I'd like to vary the elem...

Re: Strange feeder behaviour

The feeder file will be created for a cube if any cell in that cube is fed. As tomok indicates, if another cube's rules are feeding the cube in question, you will get a feeder file as long as PersistentFeeders=T in the tm1s.cfg file.

Control Cube for Managing Views

Looking into setting up a control cube to manage view configurations. These have been mentioned in various threads. To avoid reinventing the wheel, what suggestions in terms of structuring the cube, measures, etc. are recommended?

Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, because it appears you are seeing something the rest of us have not, would you post your non-working code (Before) and the corrected code (After)?

Re: Saving one rule file recreates all feeders in server

One more thing, have you monitored the save through Ops Console or TM1 Top? We have a QA environment which has very annoying latency compared to DEV/PROD. The actual rule saves take a fraction of the time to process on the server compared to how long it typically takes to report back to Architect it...

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

Because Version intersects every cell in that cube. B cant modify something that A is already reading from, else it would undermine data integrity. That would be correct if it were true in this case. The Versions is not a dimension in either of the two cubes being read before the modification. We a...

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

Note to self: Do not start the debugger from the JAR file. Start it from the BAT file. That is all.

All is good in east Tennessee.

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

Okay, we upgraded to FP7, got the debugger, were all smiles and happy until... we tried to use the debugger. Apparently it does not like the statement SubsetCreateByMDX because bad things happen. Bad things, man. First it quits debugging as in the Continue, StepOver, StepIn and StepOut buttons all g...

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

Suggest you get your testbed onto a version that supports the TI debugger. This will tell you what lines of code are triggering the lock, ofc if you a version related issue that won't help too much.... Steve, we downloaded this and it appears it does not work with 10.2.2 Fixpack 2 which we are on. ...

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

This part has an easy answer. Process B needs to IX lock (modify) the dimension. Process A has already started reading from the same dimension, so B needs to wait for A to get out of the way. Since you've used ExecuteCommand to call tm1runti.exe in a blocking manner (which is by the way counter to ...

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

Update: Tried using only the DIRECT dimension manipulation functions. Still locks up, although I have further refined where it is happening. It is locking up where the dynamic subset is created. Which is a little strange because it was getting past that previously. Here is the PROLOG for the second ...

Re: Date Difference excluding weekends

It depends on the metric you need with regards to the solution, but here is one example: Say I need to know for a given date, the remaining workdays in the month. I have a RemainingWorkDaysInTheMonth measure, so a CELLGETN retrieves that from the cube. Same solution for remaining days in a Qtr, Year...

Re: Date Difference excluding weekends

I use a calendar cube as well. I can include whatever measures are needed and not have to worry about coding formulas throughout everything. Mine includes remaining working days for the period, year, etc. I did take the lazy way out by building the measures in an Excel sheet and then importing them.

Re: Resolving Lock Contentions

I am going to try changing the cube from }System_Environment to System_Environment to see if that is causing all this gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair.
Well that accomplished nothing.
