Re: TM1 SAP Connector on 10.2.2 and PAX
Hi Wim, From TI we can run the following BW query successfully where we use the wizard to generate the MDX and the "prompts" button to select the Company. In the TI wizard we can see the following MDX expression. SELECT * FROM [0FIGL_O02/REP_GL_LINE_ITEMS] SAP VARIABLES [!V000002] INCLUDIN...

Re: TM1 SAP Connector on 10.2.2 and PAX
Hi Wim, I am trying to understand how we might be able to enable drill though from TM1 to BW. Your post said - adding a parameter to a TI process is piece of cake. Passing that parameter to the queried data in the FM package is less of a piece of cake... If I read your quote with a very optimistic v...

Re: RFE 116669 - TM1 Data Snapshot functionality - Copy rule to values in a TM1 cube
Hi Lotsram, Voted for your favourite. I had not seen to the "Cognos TM1" section previously I had looked for TM1 and found Planning Analytics, so I have now raised a second RFE for this function. I am not sure why IBM has the three different areas and if it makes sense to duplicate the RFE...

Re: RFE 116669 - TM1 Data Snapshot functionality - Copy rule to values in a TM1 cube
Hi Lotsaram, Thank you for your input. Or what about a multi-dimensional from/to mapping e.g 2017 ACT to 2018 BUD? This is covered by the current RFE - Allow developer to specify an optionally collection of, source and target tuples defining the 'slice' to be copied adhering to the following rules, ...

Re: Parallel run vs. ICX
Hi Everyone reading this thread, Firstly apologies if you have read a similar comment on other very similar treads. It is very likely we each have had a similar problem, which can be fixed by IBM in a future release. I am told by IBM this should be a trivial piece of work to deliver the copy functio...

gtonkin correctly wrote: Noted that the comments on this RFE say that on 1 March 2018, IBM declined this request as functionality is available through TI. However, given this is easy for IBM to do, and will eliminate the performance issues with copy values, even after making the rules, feeders as e...

Re: TM1 Turbo Debugger
Here is the latest update form IBM Product Offering have said that the TI debugger will become officially part of Planning Analytics Workspace and therefore officially supported, but they can't give me a timeframe of when that will happen. With that said, Product Offering would like to look into thi...

Re: TM1 Turbo Debugger
Hi, The debugger is fantastic, however I am have the same problem with the missing lines of code. It does not consistently occur, ie it does not depend on the number of lines as it impacts both small and large TIs. The same TI will sometimes show all lines and sometimes not. I have raised this as is...

Re: TM1 web crashes and needs to be restarted
Two weeks ago we upgraded from 10.2 to 11.0 (PAL 2.0) and we started to encounter TM1 Web crashing - java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. This upgrade involved the change from Tomcat to Websphere Liberty. We have made below changes and currently are not experiencing any more crashes, but we ...

Setting an Alias on Title dimension in a view
Hi, Is there a way to attach an alias to the title dimension in a view. I am currently using the following commands to set the element for the title dimension, however I can't find the command to turn on the alias for the dimension. ViewTitleDimensionSet( sCube, sView, sDim ); ViewTitleElementSet( s...

Re: TI SQL performance issue
Hi RMackenzie, Thank you for your great explanation on how TI was working differently to the other tools in regards the ODBC connection. And thanks for your suggestions as well. So, I would try re-writing the query in such a way that each column is cast into a well-known type (CHAR, VARCHAR, DATETIM...

Re: TI SQL performance issue
Yes the Use Unicode option is checked Try unckecking it. I have also seen factor 10 or more improvement by doing this. Although the unicode option is the default for ODBC datasources in TM1 the reality is that if you're not dealing with extended character sets then you don't need it. Hi Lotsaram, T...
