Re: PAW New Install Issue

Hi, I've had exactly the same bootlocal error a few times installing PAW, as dr.nybble says it is to do with the latest version of Docker Toolbox but I had to go back to a much older version, v.1.12.5, to get it to install correctly - but after that it was fine. I have installed PAW a few times now ...

Re: CUB file size

No the rules file doesn't have UNDEFVALS set. Also FYI I have since realised my data export was only for N level cells, so am running another export to include consolidations where cell type is string, just in case there are some rogue string entries in a consol that wouldn't have been picked up bef...

Re: CUB file size

Hi, Apologies yes I probably should have posted the TI code but I suppose I was asking a more general question about whether this had been seen before. I have now exported both cubes and haven't looked at the detail yet as too big for Excel/Notepad/Access - but the text file sizes are almost identic...

Re: CUB file size

Hi, Thanks for the quick responses BrianL, good point but no there hasn't been a dimension re-order Tomok the process initially builds subsets based on MDX filtering to lowest level - written in the TI at runtime not taken from a dynamic subset - apart from the one Dimension that's the copy which co...

CUB file size

Hi, Has anyone seen a situation where the CUB file size has dramatically increased, without any noticeable increase in data ? I have a cube that has been running at circa 330-380Mb for some time. Its a Balance Sheet cube that contains a dimension "Version", containing around 40 elements. O...

Chore running - general question

Hi, I am working on a model where the requirement is to update a cube from base data (CSV) "instantly" when a new CSV becomes available. I am looking at whether to have a Chore running a simple TI every 30 seconds that checks for the existence of the CSV file, if it finds one then it runs ...

Project Management Qualification

Hi all, I was just wondering what the general opinion is on the most appropriate project management qualification for systems change projects? Not necessarily TM1 specifically - what, if any, do other forum posters have? What, if any, are considered the most useful / effective/ marketable / commerci...

Re: Cognos "Batch Process" facility in TM1?

rmackenzie : That'll do it! Fantastic - I didn't know about that option. Looks like that will work really well if I drop in a Subset of N level elements to work from.

Thanks for the quick responses :-)

Cognos "Batch Process" facility in TM1?

Hi there, Just a quick Applications question - one of our users needs to create circa 150 cost centre reports in Excel for distributing to non-TM1 users. We've got a DBRW driven template but they are facing a manual process of copying this sheet 150 times, changing the cost centre element on each on...

Running a TI from a different server

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to call/run a TI process from within another TM1 server? We have two live instances and I need to be able to transfer data between the two. I have looked on the forum and tried using ODBO but this doesn't work correctly and the general concensus seems to be tha...

Re: Rule not correctly fed

Hi all, Thanks everyone for your input. We solved it in the short term by doing : ['Total GWP', 'All Periods' ] => DB('Budget_Allocated',!Allocate,!Cover Type Summary,!Company,!Budget Scenario,'GEP',!LineOfBusiness,!Budget Sublevel,!Scheme,ATTRS(Time,!Time,'Next Period')); This is a significant over...

Re: Rule not correctly fed

Hi, Thanks for the reply Taking the destination cube (budget_allocated) down to N level without suppress zeroes it works fine, suggesting as you say it is reading from the source cube (budget_earnings_allocated) correctly. However I don't have a "push" feeder from the source cube, as Skipc...

Rule not correctly fed

Hi all, Please can someone help me out with a rule that I cannot get to feed correctly – I have tried numerous options throughout today and it has me stumped! Re: Integrated Security affecting TM1Top

Hi, It' using Kerberos and same domain - however the problem has now resolved itself. Having deleted and created the user before, I had omitted to restart the server. An overnight restart has cleared the problem. Thanks for your help everyone, I haven't worked out why it happened in the first place ...

Hi, Thanks for the replies, have tried deleting the user and replacing with a new one, ADMIN rights and no other properties. Re: Integrated Security affecting TM1Top

That's interesting. I am getting my info from a #note in my TM1Top file that reads as follows :- # If IntegratedSecurityMode is set to 1. All clients must provide a database # username and password. This is traditionally done through a login screen. # # If IntegratedSecurityMode is set to 2. The cli...

Integrated Security affecting TM1Top

Hi all, I am experiencing a problem with TM1Top when setting Integrated Security. I have increased the Integrated Security setting in TM1S.CFG from 2 to 3 :- IntegratedSecurityMode=3 Since doing this, one of our users who has Admin rights is no longer able to verify themselves as Admin on TM1TOP so ...
