Re: Change in Element Name of a frequently used Dimension

I have never had a problem with swapping the alias in as long as you do it carefully. You start with an element called “sprouts” and give it an alias called “turkey”... for TM1 to allow this in the first place you know that there can’t have been any other elements named either Sprouts or Turkey so t...

Re: TI process is not getting executed from a Worksheet Application. Please help kind folks!

One more option is that the work in excel could be a red herring.
I believe if a user pressed an action button when they don’t have access to run the TI; you don’t see any messages in the log... would be nice to see a “Bob can’t run TI x” but at the moment I don’t believe we get that.

Re: Create view consisting of C elements

It’s also worth noting that by default TIs skip consolidated records as normally we don’t want to use them as a source.

On the occasions that you do want to use consolidations, you need to let the TI know by using code as below:

Code: Select all

ViewExtractSkipCalcsSet ( <MyCube>, <MyView>, 0 );

Re: Sum on TM1 Cube

Create a cube (as Paul suggested) with an extra dimension for "client" - this cube can contain all the same other dimensions as the cube in your screenshot and then is simply update by rules that say if the client measure in source cube for "Cliente" is equal to the client element in your dimension ...

Re: DBRW will not retrieve data for parent account not in subset.

Sounds like you are referencing your active form view in the DBRW. If you reference the active form view for an element that isn’t part of the view (not in the subset) then it can’t pull the resulting value from the cache as it’s not there. Change the referenced view to a hard coded cube name to pro...

Re: REST API Not Working. Cannot Configure Correctly

For the REST API to work you need HTTPPortNumber specified in your TM1s config file; I can't see it in yours.

For example if you specify a HTTPPortNumber of 1234 in a TM1 server the URL to use would be:
http://MyServer:1234/api/v1/

As the good doctor alludes to with his mentioning of the firewall; that is the response I get if I forget to allow the required ports through.

Re: Active Forms using multiple cubes

Might be wrong but think the OP wants zero suppression in a way that shows an element in a common dimension when there are values in either cube A and/or cube B. If that is the case I would normally depending on a number of factors either: A/ rule values from one cube to the other and then zero supp...

Re: Not Fed issue

Is your next period attribute populated correctly? Try clicking trace feeders to see if the value is being pushed to the next month and then you should see where it fails.

If you provide your full rules sheet/s it should help people to analyse it for you.

Re: Workspace - Selector Widget Slider Timing

Thanks for the confirmation Steve, for the most part I have found everything in PAW pretty intuitive so I assumed when I couldn't see anything in the obvious places it probably wasn't a possibility. It's not something I'd be likely to use anyway (slider play button) but when I see something that sho...

Re: TM1RPTROW Repeat Problem

Just a quick though, do you have a subset called "TOTAL CONTAS ORÇAMENTÁRIAS" - unlikely as I think the MDX syntax you have would error but you reference a subset name in the same way as an element name in MDX so could possibly cause confusion.

Workspace - Selector Widget Slider Timing

Hi All, I have a question that I imagine will either have an extremely simple answer or be something that isn't an option yet. I have a selector widget set as a slider (periods) on a workspace page with all of my other charts etc set to sync with it; when you press the "play" button it loops through...

Re: BI Hierarchy Refresh

No worries, if you haven't done it before it can be hard to think of the correct terms to search for in the user guides. A server restart also does the same job and I did a project a little while ago at a company that has a scheduled restart every night just in case anything like that had changed.

Haven't seen it happen specifically like this but just to check, have you performed the mdx hierarchy refresh function in TI?

I encounter also to this problem, and also to an TM1RPTROW-Formula, which doesn't resolve the subset in Perspectives, but later in TM1Web it does. My version indeed is 10.2.0 FP3 and my Excel is 2013 (for development clientside) resp. 2010 (on the server). Here the appearence: ActReportNoneOrDuplic...

Re: Filter a string cube data in MDX

Not entirely true, you can loop through the products dimensions by using the generate MDX statement. So it would be generate on a level 0 product subset then pass that in to your other mdx statement using current member. Not always the most efficient though if the product dimension is large.

Re: TM1 Rule - Mixing And Or in a If Statement

I think the high level concept you are trying to get to is just fixed by using brackets but I may not understand your question fully.

Code: Select all

['Measure']=N: If ( ( ['Thing'] = 1 % ['Thing'] = 2 ) & ( ['ymabob'] = x ), do stuff, do other stuff );

Re: Applying 2 rules to one item

TM1 rules apply in order, so if the first (more specific rule) is higher up in the rule sheet - that is the one that will apply. The second rule will only apply to cells that are not effected by the first rule statement.
