Re: TM1 Applications Slow Performance

Setting up the web applications to run on a separate machine is fairly common in most companies and you certainly shouldn’t experience significant performance issues as a result of it. The most likely issue is simply that the machines you are using have a latency between them, have you tried to test...

Re: TM1RPTRow with MDX Expression that Returns zero elements

And users like to filter employees of a certain class or certain pay cycle ( and a few other text measures). So I have drop downs to allow to apply filters. Another option I have employed previously is to have each of these drop downs being driven by MDX themselves that only allow the user to pick ...

Re: How to achieve the first login to TM1web to modify the personal password?

The action button to set the password is also used to navigate to another web page if the process completes successfully.
So they don’t need to login again but instead just carry on with the normal homepage etc that they would have seen anyway.

Re: How to achieve the first login to TM1web to modify the personal password?

Due to there not being a way to force users to change their password on login automatically I have previously set up my own system when we were using mode 1 security and most users only had access to TM1 web. A process would run every night and copy the encrypted password to an attribute against the...

Re: Dynamic Datasource Path

TIs don’t accept xls or xlsx etc rules as a source, it needs a flat file to read (CSV, CMA, TXT etc.) I believe performance modeller could accept excel files but I think that just had an additional program that converted it to a CSV first, you can do something similar yourself by having VBS executed...

UPD: The calendar picker works by default (for "date" number format) in PA 2.0, but only in PAW :( In TM1web, you still need to use picklists Hi Elessar, haven’t had a chance to check this but I know I’ve had it working in tm1 websheets - do you mean it doesn’t work in the cube viewer in TM1 web or...

Re: Is it possible to choose between subsets with IIF-statement in a MDX-subset?

To be able to use currentmember you need the dimension that it refers to to be a title element, so you can only have 1 “business” selected at a time. I assume from your last comment you are trying to have the dimensions nested in which case it won’t work as each dimension can only apply 1 subset at ...

Re: more generic style for rule area

In terms of not having to manually enter element names on the LHS of your rule Inwould just have an if statement that says if the attribute is blank then continue else do what you need it to do. In terms of feeders and the actual rule it would largely be dependent on the real world application and w...

A dimix enclosed within a dimnm should work across all interfaces, what interface are you using?
TI, rules, perspectives etc?

I think there used to sometimes be an issue if the time stamp on the blb? generated by the advanced rules editor came out of sync with the rux file. It’s been ages since I have seen it so it’s a long shot but I do think I saw it on site with you guys so might be worth a look.

Re: Using dimension PickList to filter data on import to cube

In TM1 picklists are purely a user interface restriction, TI and/or rules can ignore them.
The only way around it is to place logic in the TI that performs the same function, so as its a dimension picklist you have mentioned you would have an If Dimix in the TI.

Re: Public Subset Alias Turned Off After Dimension Rebuild

Just rebuilding a dimension should not remove aliases from that dimensions subsets, if that is happening without any other actions then it would be a bug. What i expect is happening is that the TI to rebuild the dimension also destroys and recreates the MDX subset from scratch, in which case TM1 wou...

You can have an attribute in the product dimension that holds the name of the BU that you want to show it for and then put MDX like below in the product dimension: {Filter({[Product].members},[Product].[BU]= [BU].currentmember.name )} In that example I have shown the Product dimension as being calle...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Ok, then I would do a bit of trial and error testing on 2 things: 1/ just create your subset with a simple while loop in your actual TI instead of bedrock 2/ just create the subset with MDX in your actual TI instead of bedrock - make static in the prolog as well 3 / leave the dimensions aith no subs...

Re: Same rules within the cube

Do you mean that the cells in question now have no rules applied to them? As in the cell can be edited by typing into it? If so and the rule has only changed as you show to pull from 1 account instead of another then I would expect it is due to its position in the rule file and there is probably a S...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Assuming that your source view has skip consolidations enabled just dont create a subset and for that dimension leave the cube view with no subset assigned, it will default to just taking every element and due to having skip consolidations ticked it would only be n level elements.

On the tm1p.xla file right click and s...

Re: MDX filter based on element value

You have a couple of issues here: 1/ [cbm_year] in the filter is something that it doesn't know what to do with - you would need to specify that it is the name from the currentmember you are wanting to use. 2/ Even then you would be comparing string with a number You could easily do it if you had a ...
