Re: Rule file mismatch in architect and .rux file

Hi,

It can be your temporary *.rux file stored in "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Applix\TM1" folder.

Re: Convert Tm1p Reports with Active buttons to Tm1 pax

Hi,

In which TM1 version was the tm1p report created? If it's 10.1.1 or lower, you will need to convert it to OpenXML format first: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... heets.html

Re: Removing user when using CAM security

Hi, The user-groups information is stored in Cognos Content Store database. This article says that your table name is CMOBJPROPS1 or CMOBJPROPS33 You can connect to this table via ODBC and check in TM1. BUT , if you use active directory: I'm almost sure that when the user is deleted from AD, he will...

I disagree with the term "Consolidation", because this will lead to disambiguation with financial consolidation

Thanks, Wim!

For me, the fact that it is not described in documentation and we need to observe this through experiments like physicists or chemists, sounds really weird..

Re: Save the rights of a Contributor Application via TI

Hi, You are lucky, because TM1 Applications Maintenance utility was introduced in 10.2 =) https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS9RXT_10.2.2/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.prfmdl_ug.10.2.2.doc/c_tm1_whatsnew_tm1_10_2_tm1_perf_mod_automation.html The 3rd point can be performed by creating a file wit...

Re: export an Application via Script (TM1 Api)

Do not delete files: just copy with replace them from source server. Note: application's information is stored both on application server (security, views list, application properties), and on TM1 server (approval states, owners, etc): application GUID is a key to TM1server-AppServer interaction. TM...

Re: export an Application via Script (TM1 Api)

"TM1 applications" are based on the application server (Tomcat/Websphere), not on the TM1 server. So TM1 API will not help here TM1 app maintenance tool can export/import only rights I think the only way to automate this is to write a batch/powershell script which: 1. Stops target application server...

Re: export an Application via Script (TM1 Api)

Stop, what do you mean by "application"? :)

It's a worksheet application made by Perspectives/PAX, or it's a "TM1 Applications" application with approval hierarchy and CubeViews/Websheets in it?

Hi,

I assume that server name is used in your worksheet formulas, and that's why the application does not work on another server

Re: TM1 9.5 to PA

Hi, Upgrading from 10.2 to PA would not be a problem. The real challenge will be upgrading from 9.5 to 10.2 The most difficult tasks will be: 1) Upgrading the contributor applications: Application types (Approval, Responsibility, Central) are added, as well as "Enforce Rights" and another new parame...

Re: Calling DBRW function without mentioning instance name in the first argument

Hi, If you are on PAL 2, you can use "TM1PRIMARYDBNAME()" worksheet function to get the instance name: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.tm1_ref.2.0.0.doc/r_tm1_ref_wrk_primarydbnamefunction.html If this is for migrating purpose, another method is disc...

Re: TM1 perspective to send mails automatically

Hello,

TM1 itself cannot send e-mails. You need to launch a TI-process launching a PS script sending the e-mail

Re: Is there a way to refresh all Contributor Views of all users globally?

Hi, There is a little (0,1%) chance TM1 App Maintenance utility can do this, I didn't check: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS9RXT_10.2.2/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.prfmdl_ug.10.2.2.doc/c_tm1_app_automatingtaskstool.html If not: 1) Kick all the users (or stop the server) 2) Delete the use...

Hi Elessar, haven’t had a chance to check this but I know I’ve had it working in tm1 websheets - do you mean it doesn’t work in the cube viewer in TM1 web or do you mean websheets? Or both? If so what fp are you on. Hi, I had tested this only in a cube viewer. Now i've tested the websheet: it does ...

In TM1web, you still need to use picklists

Re: }Stats by Rule Cube

Hello,

You should turn ON the performance monitor:
  1. PerformanceMonitorOn=T in tm1s.cfg (needs restart in TM1 10.2.2, don't need in PA 2.0)
  2. Right-click on a server in Architect, launch the performance monitor
Do not forget to turn it OFF after you finish.
